Eldon Ring‘s latest update includes a proper end to the Patches quest, which sees the fan-favorite NPC reward players with his signature pose.
While trying out today’s bug fixes and balance tweaks, be sure to return to the Limgrave cave where you may have encountered the patch for the first time. If you had completed his quest before the patch, his little grotto in the Underwater Cave should be closed by the golden mist that teased the boss in the game.
Opening the arena’s prominent chest will prompt Patches to ambush you again, but this time, he quickly recognizes you and surrenders to avoid another beating. Once he calms down, he’ll teach you how to squat on the ground, and after you’ve sat at the checkpoint, he’ll reopen the shop.
Don’t say the patch never gave you anything!
Patches’ storyline previously ended at Shadow Castle, a swampy, poison-drenched fortress between Mt. Gelmir and the Altus Plateau. It also seems final: this guy gives you the last quest item and seems to succumb to his mysterious damage. I guess this bastard who jumps dimension still has some fighting power after all.
Despite his continual betrayal, soul The community can’t help but love everything about the patch. His unique pose was added to the message Eldon Ring Today’s patch received overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans, many of whom likened the pose to a real-world pose commonly known as the “Slavic squat.”
“Finally, I can leave a ‘time is up’ message with the appropriate emoji,” wrote one Reddit user, who likes myself.
Like his enduring legacy as FromSoftware’s pseudo-mascot, it seems Eldon Ring Players will be stuck with patches for the foreseeable future. Visit him and see what he has to offer.
