It’s no secret that Sonic Origins is about to release, and the PlayStation Store listing has revealed all sorts of interesting details over the past 24 hours. Now that it’s official, it’s coming on June 23rd, Sonic’s 31st birthday.
That’s available on the Switch eShop and just about every platform, and the trailer above highlights some previously revealed details — like the “Classic” and “Anniversary” modes. The official website is also live, offering quite a few digital editions and “packs” offering different goodies, including in-game currency and DLC extras.

It’s hard to know how to take advantage of all these options, although we understand Key modes (like Hard Missions and Mirroring) will be Can be unlocked in game, with different packages and versions for faster access. The Switch version currently doesn’t have a pre-order link on the website, probably because the eShop page isn’t ready yet.

So, that’s it! Let us know what you think; we can’t wait to see what SEGA does with Sonic 3 and CD in this series, that’s for sure!
