It’s been an absolutely crazy week for Nintendo Switch Online, with rumors swirling around, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down. In the latest development, footage of an unreleased NES game on the Switch subscription service has now surfaced online via a leak.
Below is a side-by-side comparison of the current and major builds of the NES Online app (via @orcastraw).As can be seen, various additional games are included here, such as Tetris, pac-manmany Rockman Games and other titles such as Castlevania. Many additional “SP” games are also shown.
The problem here is that this is a version that apparently dates back to October 2019, which means we can’t guarantee that we’ll see these games in stores in the future. In other words, you just have to wait and see.
The leaked app has a build date of October 2019, and the official launch of the game is mostly in line with what’s in the leaked app, so it looks like the release schedule is set in advance, which is an indication of what they might be releasing. pic.twitter.com/uXkkyjKVRz— Caitlin Molinas (@orcastraw) April 18, 2022
Nintendo seems to be focusing on the monthly N64 release at the moment, so maybe it will add these extra games to the NES service when it has time. What do you think of the aforementioned games in this latest leak? Which do you hope to see in the near future? As always, leave a comment below.
