early – i mean real early footage Skateboard 4 It looks like it’s going to continue the tradition, kind of.Rumble about A sort of skate Playtest released earlier this week. (small house Was not invited to test by EA. ) Yesterday, a user who appeared to be in a meeting uploaded a 33-second clip to video platform Odysee. The link is now nowhere and the footage is gone…but not before game beatJeff Grubb of the cross-posted this video to Twitter, which has nearly 200,000 views as of this writing:
While the footage is muddy, prototype assets are clearly used, but you can make out the trademark skate Gameplay. A skateboard avatar moves smoothly across the pavement, popping flick tricks, nose slips, and even messy switching.
The video also shows off some off-court parkour, in line with the realism that underscores the series’ skate mechanics. According to the clip, you can do a front flip on flat ground. (Skilled action sports pros IRL have no problem doing this.) But trying to do two flips from a 15-foot platform seems to cause the player’s skating avatar to fall over, gripping their ankles in pain. (Even a skilled extreme sports professional IRL may see the same results without proper training.)
