Asus has quietly announced two screen-related additions to its Zenbook lineup. The new AMD-powered Zenbook 13 S joins a limited but slowly growing lineup of 13-inch OLED laptops for those looking for the advantages of OLED technology at a price that consumers can afford. But Asus isn’t letting Intel be left behind — the company also unveiled a new Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED convertible with a 12th Gen Core processor and Arc GPU.
The Zenbook 13 S OLED doesn’t look very different from the 13-inch Zenbooks we’ve seen before. It weighs 2.2 pounds and is just over half an inch thick. It is available in some interesting colors: Deep Reflection Blue, Aquamarine, Delicate White and Relic Beige. But most interestingly, the famous “ASUS” word on the Zenbook’s lid has been replaced by a new arrow-shaped logo. This looks so much better to me, more like something I wouldn’t mind eating in a coffee shop all day.
About the screen: It’s a 2.8K 16:10 touchscreen with a 0.2ms response time and a peak brightness of 550 nits. The 13-inch OLED Zenbook we reviewed last year provided a vivid and bright experience, and such a screen could be a good choice for multimedia viewing. In terms of connectivity, there’s an audio jack (which is missing on some recent Zenbooks), and three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports with DisplayPort and Power Delivery. Seems like there is no USB-A, which makes me sad.
The 13 S is powered by AMD’s Ryzen 6000 processors, including the Ryzen 5 6600U or Ryzen 7 6800U. It can be configured with up to 32GB of RAM (LPDDR5) and 1TB of storage. We haven’t tested these processors extensively, but we expect them to handle entertainment, office work, and other tasks typically done on 13-inch laptops.
Asus didn’t give us a price or release date for the device, but the 13.9-inch Zenbook S (without OLED) currently costs $1,699.98.

On the Intel side, the Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED is more of a workstation device. It is powered by 12th Gen processors up to Core i7-12700H and Arc GPU up to A370M. Its 15.6-inch screen has a 2880 x 1620 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate (thumbs up) and a 16:9 aspect ratio (thumbs down). You can get up to 1TB of storage and up to 16GB of RAM (which is weird since the 13-inch goes up to 32GB). The previous Zenbook 15 Flip model (which uses an Nvidia GPU instead of an Intel) currently sells for a whopping $1,499.
We hope to update this information as soon as prices and release dates become available.
