Following the introduction of the JetDrive Lite 330 expansion card earlier this year, Transcend today introduced a new 1TB JetDrive SD card for the latest MacBook Pro. The 1TB JetDrive has a clean design that sits completely flush with your laptop and seamlessly expands the storage space of your MacBook Pro.
Transcend announced the new 1TB capacity JetDrive Lite 330 in a press release today.
Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend®), a leading brand of digital storage and multimedia products, has released the 1TB JetDrive Lite 330 expansion card designed for the MacBook Pro® 2021. Its compact design and large capacity expand the storage space of your laptop. Quickly back up your MacBook Pro and increase user productivity by backing up digital files.
The JetDrive Lite 330 expansion card uses “high quality” NAND flash memory and offers 95 MB/s read and 75 MB/s write speeds. While these certainly can’t match the speed of an external SSD, the big benefit is that the small and flush form factor makes the JetDrive Lite 330 a convenient way to integrate more More storage space.
Like the 128, 256 and 512GB capacities, the new 1TB version is dust, water and shock resistant thanks to Transcend’s onboard chip manufacturing technology, and comes with a five-year warranty.
The JetDrive Lite 330 card is designed for use with the 2021 MacBook Pro, but will also work with late 2012 to early 2015 MacBook Pro laptops.
The new 1TB capacity JetDrive SD card for MacBook Pro is available now for $249. Meanwhile, the 128GB version starts at around $40, and the 256 and 512GB capacities are priced at around $60 and $120, respectively.
