Different dates in different regions
Sony has updated its official blog post about the upcoming PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium tiers. When the new subscription options were first announced, they were given a vague June 2022 release window – but now we know the target date for the overhaul service in various regions.
Here are Sony’s target dates:
- Asian markets (excluding Japan) – target 23 May 2022
- Japan – target is June 1, 2022
- Americas – target June 13, 2022
- Europe – the target is June 22, 2022
Of course, it should be noted that we haven’t yet found out which games are actually included in PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium – but with these release dates approaching, it’s safe to assume Sony will have a reveal in the near future.
