@XBontendo MD series are roms on emulators with tons of lag, sound issues, etc. This is a 4/5 game completely rebuilt from the ground up in a modern engine with many extra features, tweaks and most importantly tons of unlockables, challenges, score attacks, time attacks, leaderboards, mirror mode, boss rush, special stage mode Wait. The replayability of Sonic games has been perfecting your run so these things are a huge way to make everything better people live longer.
$44 seems like a good deal to me, especially compared to $60 for 3 barely touched roms on Mario 3D All Stars. (By the way, I also really liked these 3 games, so I happily bought them too. I don’t hate Mario). But of course, your opinion will depend on how much you care about these particular games as an individual. From my standpoint, this will be the ultimate way to play my 5 favorite games – I bought it in the 90’s and haven’t stopped replaying it since. But for those who are just vaguely interested, maybe a Megadrive rom pack (or NSO expansion pack) offers a better option. I also understand this opinion, and although it is far from my own, I respect it.
