Ubisoft has started inviting players to test a new Fortnite-style PvP game called “Project Q.”
The closed beta invitation seen by VGC describes the game as “an innovative modern PvP battle arena game”, and the leaked footage (embedded below) looks reminiscent of Epic’s wildly popular battle royale game.
According to Ubisoft’s invitation, Project Q is in early development and contains unpolished gameplay.
“One of the main goals of the first playable closed beta was to give you an impression of the team’s vision and core gaming experience for this new game concept,” it said.
According to prolific leaker Tom Henderson, Project Q is being developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux, the studio that typically powers games in the Assassin’s Creed and Rainbow Six franchises.
Project Q is said to have two game modes; “Showdown”, a battle royale mode of the game against four teams of 2 players, and a “Warzone” mode, where two four-player teams fight for as long as possible control. battles in the map area.
Players can choose their hero’s weapons, abilities, and skills, and players can choose from three individual “wonders” that can be mixed and matched.
Weapons look particularly unique, and the game’s arsenal includes a deck of cards, fireworks, hammers, sticks, and painted guns.
Project Q is another name, originally named in the now-infamous Nvidia GeForce Now game leak.
A GeForce Now database leak revealed several unannounced games that were later confirmed, such as the PC version of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Chrono Cross Remake.
Nvidia confirmed at the time that the leaked Geforce Now database listing containing God of War PC, Gears 6, and more was real, but it claimed the games in it were “speculative.”
