Little Tina’s Wonderland Several new characters were introduced, many of which made the most of their screen time. Both Valentine and Fret are interesting and in stark contrast to Tina, and their influence on the story of the Bunker Master is palpable. The Dragon King’s backstory makes him a formidable villain, and characters like the Cripple stand out from the usual NPCs players encounter.
Despite these fresh faces, there are still a few beloved ones Borderlands characters appear in Little Tina’s Wonderland. Torgue’s role as a bard brought the funniest moments in the game, and Brick’s role as Fairy Punchfather was hilarious. Roland, the reporter, provided Tina with some of the more poignant moments, and Gearbox further highlighted their connection. However, it’s odd that Lilith and Mordecai were left out because of the presence of three characters that Tina cares deeply about.

It makes sense that Lilith and Mordecai appear in Little Tina’s Wonderland
Borderlands 2Mordecai and Lilith play with Tina during the raid in the Dragon Fort DLC. While the former only does it because he’s her friend, the latter obviously loves bunkers and badass, so it makes sense that she would want a place in Tina’s next campaign. The same goes for Mordecai, who is very close to Tina and fights alongside her in Team B. Borderlands 3. While he may not be a seasoned Bunkers and Badasses player, he will likely team up with Tina for a character inspired by him.
Little Tina gave Torgue, Brick, and Roland key roles, so it’s odd that she ignored Mordecai and Lilith. After all, none of the returning characters actually play games with Tina quite like Fret and Valentine, because past characters are board games where Tina fits into her story. For Tina, like her and the rest of her friends, it made perfect sense to base characters on Lilith and Mordecai, and it’s easy to imagine roles they could have played.
Mordecai could have played a legendary archer well, while Gearbox leaned into his role as a sniper. Borderlands series. He could have started a school to train spore guards to master bows and arrows. Mordecai could also have an aviary, where he raised baby dragons like those the Claw Heralds brought along on their adventures. While he doesn’t need to play a major role, it might be fun to have him make a quick cameo on a side.
Lilith is easier to imagine, as the Siren is a good fit for a spellcasting instructor. Making her the witch some feared and adored might be an interesting nod to her identity as Firehawk. Borderlands 2, she could have been used as a magic master to help players improve their spellcasting abilities. Even with Lilith in an off-screen role like Roland, it would make sense that she would read some of the dialogue aloud. It might also work for Lilith or Mordecai to visit Tina mid-game.
In the end, Mordecai and Lilith skipped Little Tina’s Wonderland Not a huge negative, because without them the story is still interesting. That seems like an odd oversight, though, since cameos from both characters seem to be a given since Brick and Torgue came out.although Borderlands 4Finding Lilith will definitely lead to more interaction between these characters, and it would still be nice to see Lilith and Mordecai appear in the little Tina spinoff.
