Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi confirms pass Social media says next week’s update, possibly April 25, will add the first new content racing 7 Since its launch on March 4th.
Yamauchi’s post was short and to the point, only saying “an update next week”, but it included the now-traditional vehicle “silhouettes” we see all over the place GT Sportlife to tease the upcoming car in the update.
and GT Sportlooks like GT7The first content update will be a compact trio — not a particularly difficult puzzle to solve.
On the bottom right, we have the 2021 Subaru BRZ.This will be the third BRZ road car GT7along with two earlier models, but this is a second-generation version that shares its underpinnings with the Toyota GR86 rather than the earlier 86 GT.
It’s a car we’ve been looking forward to racing thanks to its proposed look on the 2022 Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup Series schedule. However, it came a little earlier than expected as its rounds were not until July.
Above is the Subaru BRZ GT300-shaped sibling. The car raced in the 2021 Super GT series under the R&D Sport team, earning Iguchi and Hideki Yamauchi a race win and the overall title.
This will be the latest Super GT Series car added to the series since GT SportThe 1.15 update added three 2016 machines. However, being a low-end GT300 car that is relatively similar in speed to a GT3 car, we’d expect it to go into the Gr.3 class rather than the GT500’s Gr.2 class.
Finally there’s a returning fan favorite, Kei class Suzuki Cappuccino.inexplicable absence GT Sportdespite the appearance of class siblings, cappuccino from GT6.
We can’t tell which of these two cars this is – the EA11 from 1991 or the updated EA21 from 1995 – both are premium models GT6so this at least retains some mystery.
Of course, this only reflects where the vehicle is headed GT7 in an update, not any other content or change.
Fans will remember Yamauchi’s open letter to the GT community about the poor response to the v1.07 update, where he laid out a short roadmap GT7One of the items specifically mentioned in the message is that “an update deployed between now and the end of April will add new cars and course layouts”.
With the end of April approaching, the April 25 update may be the only chance left, and we haven’t seen any additional course placements. That means this update should bring new layouts, circuit variants that may already be in the game, and other fixes and changes.
