Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodhunt launches next week, and developer Sharkmob reached out to us to share some insights into the trophy list. Here’s what the team had to say…

We are big fans of collecting trophies and game achievements. So today, we’re sharing some details about Bloodhunt’s trophies and achievements and the design philosophy behind them!
Different games handle this differently. Our goal is to create an experience around them that takes you through all the different aspects the game has to offer. Essentially, it rewards the entire player journey. From trying the basics of the game for the first time, to taking a moment to familiarize yourself with our prototype, and finally asking you to show off your skills with everything you’ve learned.
We want as many players as possible to earn Platinum Trophies/100% Achievements, as long as you take a moment to familiarize yourself with the game and play it as intended. We deliberately avoid playing the game in a forced way that would cause grief for ourselves or other players.
We also didn’t want it to be too rough because we respect the player’s time. Therefore, all achievements have a reasonable completion time. We estimate Platinum should arrive in about 15-20 hours of gameplay. The list is also loaded with Easter eggs and references. See if you can figure them all out!

Bloodhunt is a free-to-play battle royale game set in the world of Vampire: The Masquerade, which means you’ll run around as your own custom vampire and unleash hell on your opponents with a variety of supernatural powers. The game goes offline on April 27th, and we’ve added Vampire: The Masquerade – if you’d like to see who’s up against you during this time, you can use the Bloodhunt trophy.
