The Asus ProArt Display PA147CDV is a 14-inch touchscreen designed to act as a secondary display for creatives. With its small form factor and ultra-wide 32:9 aspect ratio, Asus looks as if it has ripped the secondary monitor from one of its Duo laptops and turned it into an external monitor.
The PA147CDV was technically announced last September, but Asus is currently showcasing it at the NAB 2022 show in Las Vegas and has announced plans to release the monitor in North America in the second quarter of 2022 at an as-yet unannounced price.
With support for Microsoft Pen Protocol 2.0, and a built-in watch face designed to emulate the functionality of the Microsoft Surface Dial, Asus markets the PA147CDV as an accessory for creatives looking for extra screen real estate without having to invest heavily in a monitor or touchscreen tablet. Hopefully it’s less expensive than competing monitors with larger screen sizes.

The PA147CDV features a 14-inch 1920 x 550 IPS touchscreen with one HDMI port and two USB-C ports. Its stand allows it to be oriented horizontally or vertically.
In addition to the PA147CDV, Asus also showed off another pair of monitors for release later this year. The ProArt Display OLED PA32DC 31.5-inch 3840 x 2160 display was unveiled last September and is scheduled for release in North America in the third quarter. It will be joined by the ProArt Display PA348CGV, an ultrawide 1440p monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate announced back at CES 2022. We’ll update this article if Asus gets back to us about pricing.
