Arguably one of the most popular cell phone brands when I was in college, Skullcandy has since lost some of its earliest consumer audio glitter. The brand recently sent me its latest flagship wireless access point product, the Skullcandy Sesh Evo. After more than two weeks of use, here is my full review of kwgeek.

Who is Skullcandy Evo Sesh?
A leading brand of headphone transformation in 2007, Skullcandy is also one of the only survivors. A little smarter than the others, the producers are different so as not to lose. Launched in the real Wireless market with little delay, Skullcandy is accelerating its second generation, with the Sesh Evo, Sesh development, being the cheapest agents at € 79.99.
Design and finishing
Skullcandy Sesh Evo won its predecessor in 2019, Skullcandy Sesh. Although the new models have several hardware and software updates, their overall appearance has not changed.

The new Sesh Evo so it looks like their older siblings. As you might expect from entry-level products, the Sesh Evo looks entirely made of plastic despite its excellent quality.
The promotion case, although not the most ergonomic to carry, is well-built with good weight, which adds to the overall feel. I also really liked the way he opened and closed the case. The strong magnet allows the lid to close tightly without being too tight which hinders the opening process. The case also includes four small LEDs to indicate the level of elevation.
The headphones and the case of the elevator seem to be made of the same material, which gives the overall connection. The headphones themselves are very small and do not weigh much. The Skullcandy logo boasts a side-by-side earphone (which doubles as a button for quick control).
The logo, however, is hard to see in the “True Black” color we found in the experiment. The product is available in two different color options: Blue-Blue and Pure Mint. Personally, I would prefer the black variation of its unspoken appearance. Other colors will attract people who prefer more than a show.

Skullcandy Sesh Evos happens to be rated IP55 water and dust protection. This is a great feature, especially if you have a lot of dust and sweat during exercise. Note that you cannot drive into the pool!
Ergonomics, use
The first thing you see when you open the case are the two lights of the LED indicators. Both ears go directly into the pairing process the first time you remove the case. If you have already completed the pairing process, the loudspeaker will automatically connect to your device. The initial setup process is simple and self-explanatory.

The standard Sesh Evo tips fit my ears well, and I did not use the extra tips in the box. I have received several complaints about tips coming down during exercise or strenuous exercise, but in my case, they managed to stay. However, it took me a while to adjust the tone of my ear correctly.
As we have already explained in the “Design and Finish” section, the outer layer of Sesh Evo headphones works as a button. It’s nice to have these buttons, but for almost all the tasks you can do with them, you have to press hard on your ears which is not really comfortable. In fact, most people will find it very painful.

A nice addition to the Skullcandy Sesh Evo is the Tile app support. This way, you can easily search and find cell phones in case you tend to put them away. Sesh Evo may be the only true wireless cell phone that offers this function.
Microphone quality and audio performance
I did not use Sesh Evos much for calls, but the voice reception was good and the other party could hear me better. But Sesh Evos is definitely not the best in the category when it comes to call quality.
Another thing I noticed was the effect of the movement of my jaw (while I was talking on the phone) on the speakers. In my case, as well as improved, the Sesh Evo did not happen. This problem, however, is not unique to Sesh Evo and affects most other genuine wireless phones.

Skullcandy products are known for providing solid buses, irons, and Sesh Evo actually offers front-end. The 6mm smaller drivers do a commendable job of producing low frequency.
However, the bus is sometimes too powerful and even affects the frequency in the center. Some roads look muddy. However, you can use a graph equalizer to control the situation. Sesh Evos also comes with their pre-set sound structure which can be activated by pressing the button four times.
The three formats offered are Podcast, Movie and Music. The softer tracks, with an emphasis on the middle and upper areas, converting the podcast format made all the difference.
To assess the sound level of Sesh Evo, I played my favorite track, “Hunters” in Bjork. The piece in particular is the constant beating of the drums that flows into the right and left channels almost throughout the song.
Sesh Evo has managed to recreate the road to my satisfaction. The sound would have been a bit wider, but I understood the limit of headphones with only 6mm drivers. Overall, Sesh Evo offers good performance at their price.
The Skullcandy Sesh Evo claims 24-hour battery life, a significant improvement over its predecessors. In the case of a promotion, headphones can easily last up to a week with normal use.
It took me more than two days to completely remove the battery from the earphones, with five hours of regular use lasting 48 hours. The case can be easily charged overnight using a USB-C cable. Overall, there are no complaints about Sesh Evos battery life.
Conclusion
There is no denying that Skullcandy Sesh Evo is effective. Although they are a little more expensive, they have the effective functionality of the Tile app, which makes it a bit more unique. If you like your music, however, there are several products that compete in their price category that now offer similar or better performance.
In India, where we have tested this product, there are several truly competing wireless mobile phones which prove to be a good alternative. These include Oppo Enco W31 mobile phones, Mi True Wireless Earphones 2, Redmi Earbuds S and Realme Buds Q.
Another product with similar performance is the Noise Shots X5 Pro. Elsewhere, there are several offers of high-quality wireless phones for the 80 Euros applied to European headphones.
