Repairing your broken Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet can be as easy as watching a 5-minute DIY video on YouTube. Samsung is working to make parts of the self-contained Galaxy devices available to everyone starting this year, at least in the United States.
- Galaxy device replacement parts will be available to everyone (US)
- Samsung will start offering parts for the selected Galaxy devices this year
- iFixit will provide a maintenance guide
While anyone can search for parts of the Galaxy device online, Samsung is going to make it easy. The company will make additional accessories available to anyone planning to upgrade their devices, starting with some Galaxy models.
Initially, Samsung will start offering display packs, rear-facing lenses, batteries, and port upgrades for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, and Tab S7 Plus. The manufacturer will make it available from this summer and the presentation will expand to other categories and new models later. The first batches will be sent to recycling centers.

You will be able to customize your Galaxy device yourself with the help of iFixit
The advantage of this offer is that users will get real replacement parts and Samsung has partnered with iFixit to provide the maintenance guide. IFixit disassembly videos were already available online, but step-by-step instructions for specific repairs are very useful for the average person.
Samsung will continue to provide maintenance services for its approved facilities and door-to-door service in the United States. The company promises a reasonable price for its original products.

As South Korea seeks to improve its customer service, Apple, for its part, would have the intention of refusing to repair stolen or lost iPhones found at its authorized outlets. However, Apple has not yet announced any official details about the upcoming service restrictions.
