Apple has so far avoided the fledgling market of folding devices. But that doesn’t mean Cupertino isn’t actively considering developing a device with a folding feature, or at least that’s what the latest rumors are saying.

The speculation about Apple releasing a device with a folding screen has been extinguished for some time. Obviously the company was not very interested in this new technology. Now, popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed on his Twitter account that Apple is “actively testing” a 9-inch folding image.
The screen is equipped with a test device used to filter the technology that will eventually find their way into Apple products. According to Kuo, the company will first target large and medium-sized devices before launching a foldable iPhone. This coincides with other rumors that LG is joining the effort to develop iPads and MacBooks with folding specs.
Apple’s double-digit devices from 2025?
It is unclear when we will see these devices, as floodwaters have been changing their size. Daily technology Korontada says Apple is working with LG Display to create a foldable OLED panel for tablets and laptops.
According to the same source, LG will be offering HP 17-inch double 4K OLED panels earlier this year, so the concept of a foldable MacBook may be closer than we thought. Kuo still makes a presumptive assumption that we will see Apple’s flagship device in 2025.
Another analyst, exhibition expert Ross Young, appears to be lining up for the opening year of Apple’s folding device, which has been delayed since the initial forecast for the start of 2023 or 2024.
