One UI 5.0: July beta, October final release
Samsung experts at SamMobile claim the One UI 5.0 beta should already be rolling out within a few weeks. Specifically, in the third week of July. According to their sources, the Galaxy S22 should be the first models to receive the beta. As such, the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra will use the new software interface starting in July.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 flagship foldable devices should also come with the Android 13-based OneUI beta soon. If testing goes as planned, the final version, OneUI 5.0, could roll out to the first Galaxy devices as early as October. After Android 11 in December and Android 12 in November, Samsung could move the release date up a month.
So let’s pray that the beta phase goes as smoothly as the Koreans can only dream – owners of compatible smartphones will be able to more easily look forward to the corresponding update. We’ll see what competitors think and how quickly Xiaomi and others can follow them.
