Combined lights come in many shapes and sizes, with each panel displaying one color for a specified period. Govee’s new Glide Hexa light-emitting RGBIC technology, however, allows a color palette to be displayed simultaneously in one panel.
- Govee launches Glide Hexa Light Paels with RGBIC technology
- Each piece of light presents different colors or shades at the same time
- Glide Hexa Light floors are sold for € 189.99 for a 10 square foot model
RGBIC floors support up to 16 million colors and you can customize any panel using the Govee Home app. Connecting your music and movies is also supported Unlike some connected lights such as the recently announced Innr lights, Govee-connected devices are not compatible with the Philips Hue app – but still work with assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

Govee notes that its LED wings attached to the hexagon structure are easy to install using adhesive tapes that come with each panel. Flexible connectors are provided to create different shapes and you can add them by using additional lenses. These floors are also made of transparent material, which makes the lights bright and visible in the back.
RGBIC vs RGB – Which is better for home lighting?
The RGBIC (RGB Independent color) system is not new to the intelligent lighting industry. It is often seen in the form of light cords and angled bars. Only recently found as glasses like Glide Hexa.

The RGBIC floors provide extra flexibility for light customization, as you can show off vibrant colors in each panel or unique changing patterns. RGB lamps can still produce 16 million colors, but they are limited to one color for a limited time.
