Get ready for a fun Pokemon GO Community Day featuring Stufful!
Closing out two April Community Days for players to enjoy (the first being Mudkip earlier this month), this Community Day will be dedicated to Stufful!
We’ve put together everything you need to know about Stufful Community Day, including bonuses and tweaks.
Community Day will be held on Saturday, April 23rd from 2-5pm local time.
Niantic
Adjustment
In 2020, Niantic decided to increase the running time of the Community Day from 3 hours to 6 hours. This provides ample time for Community Day.
However, it was found that only 5% of players played for more than 3 hours. So Niantic – after getting positive feedback from the 3-Hour Community Day Classic in January – decided to return to the 3-Hour Community Day.
Players don’t have to worry about missing out on extra resources earned during longer community days. Niantic has added some perks to ensure players can still collect them!
Featured Pokemon and New Actions
Naturally, the protagonist of the Stufful Community Day will be Stufful. Players can expect it to appear more frequently in the wild! (Great chance to get candy to transform Stufful into Bewear!)
Speaking of Bewear, if the player evolves Stufful into Bewear during the event or up to 2 hours after the event, it will know a brand new move – Drain Punch.
Drain Punch is finally coming to Pokemon GO and promises to give Bewear a defensive edge in battle with the following stats:
- Trainer Battles: 20 power and guaranteed to increase the user’s defense
- Gym and Raid: 50 Power

Special Research Stories
Players will be able to access a special Stufful Community Day Exclusive Research Story – Strong Stuff by paying $1 (USD) or the equivalent in local currency
An important point to note is that players will not receive in-game medals from special research stories.

Event bonus
There are plenty of event bonuses to look forward to this Stufful Community Day:
- 3x Capture Experience
- 2x Candy
- Catch Stufful for 2X chance to get Stufful XL Candy
- Incense activated during the event will last for 3 hours
- Decoy modules activated during the event will last for 3 hours
- Trades made during the event and 2 hours after the event will have 50% less Stardust
- 1 additional special deal during the event and two hours after the event (up to 2 on the day)
These are not the only rewards players enjoy! Working with other trainers will bring some great benefits:
If the trainer catches enough Pokemon from one bait, the XP reward will increase. The 3x XP reward for catching Pokemon near a Pokestop will increase to 4x XP for 30 minutes.
However, players should also take a few photos during the day for a surprise!
Activity Packs and Stickers
A one-time purchase of the Community Day Box can be used to purchase 850 Pokecoins.Box contains 15 Super Balls, 15 Pineberries, 1 Elite Fast TM and 1 Ranged Raid Pass
The final content announced for Stufful Community Day is stickers. Players will be able to earn event-themed stickers featuring Stufful in a number of ways:
Spin Pokestops, open gifts and buy from the in-game store.
Hopefully this Community Day will live up to its expectations, unlike the Mudkip Community Day that disappointed fans earlier this month.
