The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra may be a high-end smartphone, but it is not without its challenges. Several users have reported problems with the GPS functionality of the new flag.
- The problem seems to be limited to Exynos models in Europe.
- Samsung is reportedly working on an upgrade
If you own a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and are planning a trip, be careful! As many users have reported to Samsung’s community forums, the GPS service is not working well. And correctly, we mean not at all. Fortunately, there are temporary improvements to this solution, but let’s see what happens first.
For the past one month, users have been reporting on issues related to the GPS functionality of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Reading the Samsung social media reports, we found that the devices lose their signal for a minute or so, without any explanation.
Apps like Google Maps fail to connect and display a message looking for the GPS signal. Now, the issue seems to be limited to Exynos models and the panel mediator has confirmed that Samsung is working on an upgrade, but has not given a specific time on when the upgrade will be available.

Meanwhile, users have to rely on a number of techniques to temporarily fix the problem, such as restarting their device or using an app called GPS Status & Toolbox to reset the GPS service.
Some users also said that disabling S Pen connectivity in settings improves the problem, but kwgeek was unable to verify these solutions. To turn off the S Pen, search for “S Pen” in your settings, find the option “Connect to S Pen “and turn it off
