To enhance user security and privacy, Google is implementing a new Play Store policy to prevent third-party apps from using the Accessibility API. Changes and updates to its developer policy include an accessibility setting for Android to stop remote call recording, a popular feature among Android users. According to GSM Arena, the changes are aimed at improving privacy and security, as call recording laws vary widely around the world. However, systems and preinstalled applications that already have access to the Accessibility API will not be affected by the change.
