The second season of “Lone Wolf” is less than two weeks away. Halo Infinite343 Industries has released a second preview video detailing three new game modes – King of the Hill, Land Raider, and The Last Spartans Standing – as well as other variants to be released on May 3 .
Halo Infinite Season 2 will showcase the return of King of the Hill, Halo multiplayer’s longtime favorite game mode, though now with some new twists. “A neutral hill appears on the map, and two teams fight for it to control the hill and earn points,” 343 Industries community writer Alex Wakeford wrote in a new blog post. When entering a hill while participating, it gets captured and starts getting 1 point per second in the capture bar. When a team’s capture bar is full, they get 1 point and it will spawn elsewhere on the map A new hill.”

Wakeford added that in Land Grab, “At the start of a match, there are 3 neutral zones around the map. When a player captures an zone, that zone is locked and gives their team 1 point. When all zones are captured , there will be a pause before 3 new neutral zones are generated. The first team to score 11 points wins.”
The third new mode offered this season is The Last Spartan Standing Mode, a brand new mode based on the season’s “Lone Wolf” theme, which Halo InfiniteAnswers to Battle Royale Multiplayer. “In this free-to-play experience, 12 players spawn on a group battle map with a limited loadout and 5 respawns,” Wakeford wrote. “Once a player’s respawn time runs out and they can no longer participate, they can watch the match or leave the match without penalty. If the player is killed during the match, they can upgrade to a different weapon – players who ‘upgrade the killer’ undoubtedly It will be familiar. When there is only one Spartan left standing, the game is over.”
King of the Hill and The Last Spartans will be available on day one Halo Infinite Season 2, Land Grab will launch as part of the Fracture: Entrenched event one month after launch, and will remain available for the remainder of the season thereafter.
The new multiplayer mode looks exciting, and along with two new multiplayer maps, Lone Wolf looks to be a fun way to lure Halo Infinite Players who may quit the game after the end of Season 1.
