The launch of Halo Infinite’s co-op campaign appears to have been pushed back to August 2022.
The collaboration event is expected to launch next month after its initial launch was delayed. However, developer 343 Industries admitted last month that it needed “more time” to develop the co-op campaign and Forge, and that co-op missions wouldn’t launch in May as hoped.

Now, in an image from the company’s latest news update, 343i has revealed that the “target” for campaign collaboration is August, along with campaign mission replays. The Forge Open Beta is slated for September, but split-screen isn’t expected until sometime in November for Season 3.

“We knew we needed to deliver more content and more features faster,” admitted Joseph Stanton in the latest Halo Waypoint update. “Sticking to zero priorities means sometimes we need to slow down to stay healthy and move faster later. But we’re also actively looking for ways to speed things up.
“As we continue to improve and improve, please understand that all of us at 343 are fully committed to making Halo Infinite the best Halo experience ever,” added Staten. “In fact, the main reason we’re extending Season 2 is to give us time before releasing another season to fully address ‘quality of life’ improvements based on our experience with Season 1 and other data and feedback we’ve collected.”
Just a few weeks ago, 343 community director Brian Jarrard previously stated that the studio understands that some fans are “completely impatient” with the game’s various setbacks, and his team is “certainly unhappy not being able to meet players and community expectations.” However, he added that some of these issues should be addressed as part of the new season.
