I am the uncrowned king of the bad race. Even if I only need to buy three things, there’s a chance I’ve forgotten something. That’s why I’m so excited about the existence of shopping list apps like Bring It Up! Did you know you can link Bring to your connected home?
This allows you to complete your shopping list with a simple voice command. This is very handy when you occasionally notice an item you need. Learn how to easily connect the Bring With You app to Google Home.

How to Use Google Assistant to Complete Your Shopping List
Just follow a few easy steps to link to your Google Home / © kwgeek
- OpenGoogle Home app on your smartphone
- Press your top right profile picture
- From the menu, choose Google Assistant settings
- scroll to Notes and Checklists
- choose add to your shopping list and click confirm The following
- connect your bring login data and confirm connect
finished! You can now tell your Google Assistant which items to add to your shopping list with your voice. You’ll be able to link the Takes app to Alexa in the same way.
It is important to specify the name of the list. You can use an existing list or create a new one (be smarter than me, don’t call it “bring”, as Google sometimes misinterprets this command).

So you can say something like “Ok Google, add two liters of milk to my XY list” and your shopping list will update. You can also have the Google Assistant read all your products to you by saying “Ok Google, what’s on my XY list.” Unfortunately, there is currently no way to remove products from the list in this way.
Still, I’ve found it to be a very handy use case for my Google device, and I’m sure you’ll love it too when you find yourself in the shower without body wash.
