Overall, with the exception of Huawei smartphones, every Android phone comes with a pre-installed Google Play Store app. For most Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo or other smartphones, it is not even possible to remove it from the Play Store, you can best disable the app but it will remain in the one displayed in your application manager.
But the Google Play Store is also frequently updated. And sometimes it takes a few weeks or even more to get the latest version from the Play Store. Basic functions never change, so sticking to the previous type is not a bad thing. However, you may want to install the latest version of Google Play Store on your Android smartphone.
Check your current Google Play Store version
As explained above, the update takes some time and does not come with all Android devices. This is why there may be times when you want to download and install a new version in the Google Play Store, especially if the current version is causing you problems.
However, before you rush to download the latest version of the Play Store using the APK file, you should first check the type of Play Store currently installed on your smartphone:
- Open the Play Store and tap your own profile picture
- Select Setting
- Expand the section About pressuring you

The Google Play Store numbering system may at first seem confusing, but it is easy to understand. If the difference between the numbers seems strange to you, because Google did not release the middle types. In addition, Google categorizes the lines of these particular product lines:
- [0] – All equipment.
- [5] – For Android Wear / WearOS
- [8] – for AndroidTV
Download the latest version from the Google Play Store using the APK
You can download it from the Google Play Store as an APK (equivalent to a PC .exe file). You can easily find it in the Google Play Store, but as a rule, it is better to stick to reliable and popular APK repositories like APKMirror, for example.
As always, you should first consider authorizing the import of unknown sources:
- Go to the side Setting
- Then Security
- Turn on Installation in an unknown location
- Give permission web browser (Chrome or something else) and yours file manager

Then you need to download the APKMirror APKMirror from the Google Play Store:
- Go to APKMirror and search for “Google Play Store”

Install Google Play Store manually
Once downloaded, all you have to do is download it directly from your file manager in the Play Store. You can go through the original manager of your Android interest rate (OneUI, MIUI or others) or a third-party manager you downloaded, whatever.

For smartphones running Android version before Oreo, the system is much simpler. You can allow it to be downloaded from unknown sources without having to give it a case-by-case basis. Just enable your setting option.
For maximum security among you, you can also stop downloading from unknown sources once the APK installation is complete. In fact, it is common to not always give your grandparents permission to intervene. The system varies depending on your Android model and your interest rate.
Normally, you can go through the applications or the permission manager or even simply from the Security menu and you can automatically stop downloading from unknown sources (in the same way as described above, in the “download APK” section but you terminating the permit).
Google Play Store issue resolution
The Google Services framework is a necessary service for the Play Store to link apps to your device, allowing direct updates and more. If these attributes stop working or you experience other issues, there may be a problem with the service. In this case, you need to clear the Google Play Store and Google Play Services. To that end, proceed as follows:
- Open them Setting
- gal Apps
- Click the button See all app
- Go down Google Play Store and select
- Then tap Storage and storage
- Tap empty Cache
