On your Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone, you can see in real time if your mobile game is running at 60 FPS. MIUI offers a more comprehensive native FPS counter than most other Android coverage. I explained how to activate this feature of MIUI.
Xiaomi is not the only manufacturer to offer a native FPS counter. And this feature is very much needed by mobile game players. It can be useful to know your game’s FPS rate in real time. If the FPS rate is not constant and fluctuates a lot, it means you have to lower the graphics, eg. It’s also a way to better understand the variable refresh rate of their screens, especially on LTPO 2.0 screens that can go from 1 to 120 Hz.
To activate the FPS counter on Xiaomi smartphones:
- activate them Developer Options (7 clicks about the MIUI version of this phone)
- go in set up Then other settings
- go in Developer options
- scroll down to section monitor
- under monitorpress power monitor
- exist Frame rate monitoring toolpress start
Play at 60 FPS, it’s worth it. / © kwgeek
The information displayed in real time in the upper left corner of the screen is superimposed on the display of the application. To avoid this getting in your way, you can minimize the window, move it, or close it. Note that this counter is not the same as the one proposed by Google, which is also in the developer options. The counter also shows other information, such as the temperature of the smartphone or the amount of RAM used.
For this tutorial, that’s it for activating the FPS counter function on a Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone. Do you find it useful? Do you use the FPS counter when you play games on your smartphone?
