New rumors suggest that Apple will not only show off the new MacBook Air at its WWDC 2022 event, which begins on June 6, but also the new Mac mini, both of which use the rumored M2 chip.
In some respects, this isn’t surprising because at the same time that the MacBook Air (M1, 2020), which saw Apple’s M1 chip debut, Apple also announced the new Mac mini (M1, 2020) M1 chip.
So if Apple does plan to release a new MacBook Air, it would make sense that it would also show off the Mac mini to help showcase the new M2 chip.
The M1 chip is Apple’s first attempt to make chips for its computing products after ending a long-term partnership with Intel. It ended up being a huge success, and Apple’s experience building chips for its iPhones and iPads translated well to computers. Macs and MacBooks powered by the M1 offer great performance and battery life, and sell some of the best the company has ever seen. We’ve been impressed with the MacBook Air (M1, 2020), which has been at the top of our best laptops list since its release.
So it’s no surprise that Apple is working on a successor to the M1 along with two popular products to showcase it.what Yes Surprisingly, however, rumours (reported by Notebookcheck) suggest they will be showcased at WWDC 2022.
While we’ve heard that Apple is preparing two M1 Macs for WWDC 2022, the LeaksApplePro Twitter account, which regularly posts accurate Apple leaks, suggests that the M2 Mac mini and M2 MacBook Air will be the two Macs in question.

Why choose WWDC?
As the name suggests, Apple’s WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) is geared towards developers developing software and applications for Apple devices. It’s usually not associated with large hardware showcases.
For example, Apple usually holds its own events to unveil the all-new iPhones, and the last MacBook Air and M1 chips were unveiled at a special event on November 10, 2020. So, in some ways, Apple’s decision to show it off at WWDC is confusing, especially for those who think a dedicated event later this year will give any new Mac or MacBook more opportunities to shine. Say.
However, this is not beyond the realm of possibility. Apple has announced new hardware at WWDC in the past, such as the HomePod and iMac Pro in 2017 and the new Mac Pro in 2019.
There’s also the fact that a new and improved M2 chip will make a big difference for developers, so announcing the M2 at WWDC 2022, showcasing its improved performance and new features, and explaining how developers can use them, really Makes sense.
if apple Yes The M2 will be shown at WWDC 2022, so it would make sense to show some of the devices that will use it as well. After all, Apple isn’t the kind of company that puts people on stage to wield chips (unlike AMD or Intel).
Analysis: Mac mini could steal the show

If the new MacBook Air and Mac mini do make an appearance at WWDC 2022, I actually think the Mac mini could be the star of the show. Most of the devices shown at WWDC were aimed at professionals, and while the new MacBook Air is undoubtedly a great laptop, it’s a more mainstream device.
However, an enhanced Mac mini with Apple’s latest technology may be of interest to WWDC attendees. Without the constraints of battery power and portability, the new Mac mini can truly demonstrate what the M2 chip can do.
Of course, there are other things to consider. The M1 MacBook Air and Mac mini were launched with a third device: the 13-inch MacBook Pro (M1, 2020). While we haven’t heard any rumors yet, will Apple also announce the M2 MacBook Pro at WWDC? If so, then this could be the most exciting device yet.
