Nothing Phone (1): thanks to the innovative illuminated back panel of the “Glyph”
In the first exclusive video, MKBHD The clever function of the light strip on the back of the Nothing Phone (1) is revealed. The interface will be called the “glyph interface” and users will be able to customize different effects there, such as notifications.
But what’s interesting is that individual light strips can selectively cast unique lighting effects. For example, the bottom bar can show battery progress while the phone (1) is charging, while the middle bar can light up during reverse wireless charging. Lighting can also be associated with specific ringtones or contacts.
Perhaps the most useful effect of these lights is that they act as fill lights when shooting video or photos. Also, when you are recording video, there will be a noticeable red LED flashing. The latter can be annoying, but we can assume there will be a way to turn off the LED.
Do you think the lighting effects on Nothing Phone (1) would be useful? Are you anxiously awaiting the launch of your smartphone?
