We’ve known since MWC 2022 that OnePlus should unveil its new SuperVOOC fast charging technology at 150 watts. The upcoming OnePlus 10 worldwide should be OPPO’s first model compatible with the technology.
- 4800mAh battery accepts up to 150W fast charge
- Two SoCs tested – MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+
It’s unusual for OnePlus to only launch the OnePlus 10 Pro a few months ago. There was no trace of the base model at the time. But the whistleblower @OnLeaks The technical data sheet of the famous OnePlus 10 was recently leaked. If the technical data is correct, the OnePlus 10 can even surpass the Pro model in several ways.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ and 150W fast charging
At the heart of the OnePlus 10, the information mentions MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 on the one hand, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ on the other, an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that powers the OnePlus 10 Pro. It is unclear which of the two SoCs currently being tested on prototypes will be the final version. But the OnePlus 10, which is expected to launch in the second half of 2022, may offer faster performance than the OnePlus 10 Pro.
There is also talk of 8 to 12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage. Android 12 is the OS installed, and OxygenOS 12 is predictably based on it. For the screen, you can expect a 6.7-inch LTPO-AMOLED panel and refresh rates from 1 to 120 Hz, but only in FullHD+ resolution.
On the other hand, as far as the battery is concerned, according to the leaks, the Vanilla model does a better job than the Pro version. The 4800mAh battery should be able to charge up to 150W compared to the OnePlus 10 Pro’s 80W (it’s a bigger 5000mAh battery, though).

But OnePlus certainly has to save somewhere on the base model, and it’s the photo module that should be affected. And of course a matrix of three photosensors, and again with Hasselblad. But the raw megapixel numbers have sparked fears of a downgrade from the OnePlus 9. Specifically, leak A 50 MP main camera is mentioned, a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and finally a 2 MP macro camera. On the front we rely on the 32 MP camera.
It’s still a tough pill to swallow for OnePlus fans. The iconic alert slider may not exist! Not sure if this offer will please the brand’s loyalists.
It still lacks the price of the OnePlus 10, which could be very attractive. In fact, if it’s significantly lower than the Pro’s MSRP (€899), the smartphone should make for a very interesting alternative to more expensive flagships.
