We’ve seen more engaging flames than The New Borderlands Story. However, this is the best way Gearbox Quebec has found to sum up where this sequel stands, and it’s not one. The spin-off, the spiritual successor, in short, you catch the idea, it’s a No. 2 trying to distance itself from its elders, released by Telltale at the top of its game in 2014. Certainly prettier than the latter, returning from plot form and enriching with a new protagonist, but this new breath has a hard time convincing us that it’s going to be something other than part two.
