Developed by Santa Ragione Studios (Wheels of Orillia) and expected to hit the Epic Games Store this year, pending other platforms, this horror game takes place in the fictional Sardinian village of Gravoi in 1989. The game’s art direction comes straight from Fanatical Dreams (the animation is inspired by film stop motion and rotoscoping techniques), and the game blends exploration and puzzle solving, but also draws on roguelite along the way. First, the village is procedurally generated for each new game and the loss of all four playable characters, each tailored to a specific aspect of exploration and investigation.
So no need to come online looking for plans, especially since the game doesn’t show any compass or other type of markers, prefer to use the in-game map and a good sense of direction, even though we can still ask a companion to guide us to our destination. Taming villages is easier as you unlock shortcuts and other secret passages, or mark your passages with lights (matching is part of resource management).
Combat is not part of it, but you have to know how to escape some of the threats that might come around the corner. Fortunately, captured characters can still be released by allies. Players do not lose progress and clues if four characters are lost, but must relearn fully reset village buildings.
