The first important point to emphasize is that the term “Super Game” does not define a specific game, but a variety of products that must meet specific requirements. At the very least, “Super Game” must be an AAA game, it must be integrated, defined in multiple languages and released anywhere in the world at the same time. There is nothing out of the ordinary paper, even if we feel that Sega is trying to roll its hands to create more blockbusters around the world using modern technology.
At the moment everyone’s lips, the Unreal 5 machine will be there, for example, but this is also the case with Microsoft’s cloud technology Azure, as previously announced. Sega therefore intends to strike at such partnerships with specialized companies, for example artificial intelligence. Ah, and history has never been forgotten speech retention above all interview to make the shareholder dream come true, producer Masayoshi Kikuchi finds it appropriate to mention NFTs as the “natural development” of video games in the same way as the clouds. We’ll see, yes.
The good news is that Sega’s global ambitions for these titles do not make it lose its unique vision of Japan’s development. Even if the Super Game project is for the whole world, Sega believes that the key to success will be to know how to develop Japan. This does not mean that only the development of Japan is involved, the groups can include foreigners living in Japan, but these are naturally sensitive to the culture of the islands.
However, it is difficult to imagine Sega announcing its first “Super Game” recently. Currently, only about fifty developers are involved in these projects, which, however, eventually make a monopoly on hundreds of people. Developers also come from all walks of life: consoles, but also mobile and even arcade locations. With its financial results published last year, Sega has announced that it intends to invest up to 100 billion yen (732 million euros) in five years to meet the goals of its “Super Game” project.
