In case you didn’t know, PAX East is happening in the US right now, so we’re kind of aloof on the other side of the pond. Any announcement that might happen will feel a little overwhelming until we remember what happened. Case in point: The news of a brand new story from Borderlands has just been revealed.
New adventures, new characters, new stories.

Announced by 2K Games and Gearbox, very little information is currently available – all we know is that this thing exists. It remains to be seen whether this new game will be a direct sequel to the Telltale original, or a completely separate adventure. As the tweet above says, this is a “brand new” story from Borderlands, which leads us to believe it’s unlikely to be directly related to the previous title.
It’s set to release sometime this year, and that’s basically everything to know right now. There’s no info on platform, story details or characters – our only hint is a single image. Randy Pitchford said on PAX that the game will be shown in more detail over the summer. Excitingly, we’ll delve into the more narrative-focused side of the predator shooter universe.
