Ahead of the launch of the OP 10R in India next week
You can’t seem to stop OnePlus – especially in China and India. Of course, OnePlus 10 Pro only only arrives in North America, but it’s a far cry from the company’s latest phone. While we’re eagerly anticipating next week’s India-focused OnePlus 10R and Nord CE 2 Lite launch event, a China-only version of the 10R has arrived with a new series name.

If you’ve been following recent leaks, the OnePlus Ace might not come as a surprise. The phone debuted today ahead of its April 26 launch, and it looks like a promising mid-range device. As rumored, the Ace is powered by the Dimensity 8100 MAX, an all-new version of the 8100 that supposedly offers more performance than the standard chip. While it may not be on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that powers the OnePlus 10 Pro, it should offer plenty of speed for the price. In addition to the chipset, the phone comes with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
It’s not just the spec sheet that makes the Ace an impressive smartphone. The 120Hz AMOLED panel and 150W charging are the highlights here, and the 4,500mAh battery is capable of hitting 50 percent in just five minutes. This is the same technology we saw in Realme’s recent GT Neo 3. We’ll have to see how the battery withstands repeated quick charges, although OnePlus says it will retain 80 percent capacity after 1,600 power cycles.
As for its cameras, the main lens is a 50MP f/1.88 sensor with OIS, along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. The phone itself has a sleek, unique design, but you won’t find many of the usual OnePlus trims here — including the standard silent slider that adorns its mainline flagships.
The Ace will be available in black and blue starting next week, with the entry-level model starting at just 2,499 yuan (about $387). Top model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
