retro kung fu action game Fire dragon boxer Xiaomei Developer PiXEL has announced that the Switch will be available in Japan via the Nintendo Shop on May 19 for 1,700 yen.
Music composed by legendary former Namco composer Norio Nakagata (Zombie Country, Genpei Toma Temple, Thunder receptors, Bravomanetc.) and intentionally limited colors and resolutions, Fire dragon boxer Xiaomei It’s a throwback to the 16-bit era.
The Switch version features many new elements not found in the original 2019 PC version, including new music and demo scenes by Nakagata, enhanced FM sound effects by Hirofumi Murasaki (what!Soda, Ninja III: The Return of the Ninja Master, Clockwork Knightetc.), new characters, “Shadow Mode” in which the story unfolds from the perspective of the protagonist Xiaomei’s sister, Sakura, “Gallery Mode” in which illustrations and character designs are provided by Studio Vigor, and the character voices are provided by the girls’ unit water fragrance.
