Ikea has introduced Nymane, the new LED suspension, which expands the growing home-made booklet. This new built-in light, which hangs from the ceiling, provides a more natural look and wireless control functions.
- Ikea has introduced a new integrated light called Nymane
- The connected Nymane light is based on the standard Klang light in Ikea.
- You will be able to control the Nymane lamp using the Ikea Home app or remote control
Based on a standard Klang lamp from the 1960s, the Nymane-attached pendant is a light plate that will hang from where you live. It consists of a black or white metal frame and a series of non-glazed LED lights. According to Ikea, this incandescent lamp is 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs and is rated at 85% efficiency.

Ikea says there are three levels of white balance to choose from: cool white, warm white, and warm white. The connected suspension can then be adjusted using the Ikea Home application or the remote control for sale separately.
Unlike other types of connected objects such as Philips Hue, Ikea’s Tradfri gateway or hub are required to use Nymane connected light. You can then install other devices on Ikea’s smart home ecosystem. There is also a Tradfri dimmer and switch if you want to increase the light control. Ikea does not recommend third party dimmers to control its intelligent lighting.

The stop at Nymane is available at the Ikea store and costs without access to the remote control and Tradfri center. The company says you can also replace the LED light if it breaks.
