Attached buttons or keys are not new to the IoT market. The new Xiaomi Smart Wireless Bluetooth packages manage your environment with connected home appliances – but really cheap and with a beautiful design.

There is no shorter name than Xiaomi’s smart switch than the “Wireless Bluetooth Power Switch”. The attached key has two rectangular technical buttons which can be configured for seven different functions, including one, double or long one for each button. The Xiaomi cover is much more ergonomic to use than the small Philips button which you can control with the Philips Hue headlights.

The buttons can be customized. This means that they can turn on or off the software installed on the app – or they can automatically perform a series of steps based on user selection through the Xiaomi smartphone home app. The cover supports Xiaomi and Mijia smart IoT devices (Mijia simply stands for Xiaomi IoT) as well as lights and devices – while within the Bluetooth mesh of your living space, which is another transfer advantage.

No cables or batteries are required when installing a wireless smart switch, as it has a built-in battery that is rated for up to three years. You can install the button anywhere in your building, as long as it is within the smart home appliances.
Xiaomi Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity are available in China for 69 yuan or ~ 11 dollars, excluding tax. It is likely to come to selected markets from this year and will be very useful for those who have Xiaomi wearables at home.
