Transcend has announced a 1TB version of the JetDrive Lite 330 expansion card for the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, offering owners of Apple’s newest Macs an affordable way to increase their internal storage capacity.
Transcend says the JetDrive Lite 330 card is built with high-quality NAND flash memory, offering read and write speeds of up to 95MB/s and 75MB/s, respectively.
Once the JetDrive Lite 330 is inserted into the card reader slot, it sits flush with the side of the notebook, and the extra storage can be used as a photo library or music library drive, or the card can be used as an onboard Time Machine backup.
Transcend says the JetDrive Lite expansion card comes with a five-year limited warranty and is built with advanced COB (chip on board) technology, making it water, dust and shock resistant. In addition to the 2021 MacBook Pro models, the JetDrive Lite 330 supports the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro (Late 2012-Early 2015 models).
The 1TB option adds to Transcend’s existing JetDrive capacity, starting at $35.99 for the 128GB version on Amazon and $250 for the 1TB capacity card. Please continue to follow Mike Rumors Because we’ll be reviewing the new 1TB card next week.
