FromSoftware releases another massive update Eldon Ring On Tuesday, players were celebrating and cheering on its long list of balance changes and bug fixes. Instead of crippling fan-favorite weapons like the Moonveil katana, the game’s biggest patch makes tons of other things more powerful. Plus Bleed, one of the strongest builds, the Madness effect has been dialed back, and the extremely shattered Karian counter-attack is no longer bugged in online multiplayer. you like to watch.
The bulk of patch 1.04, the game’s second overhaul since its release nearly two months ago, addresses game balance issues with a focus on giant weapons, magic, and weapon skills. For each nerf, there are dozens of tweaks that make the power and faith-based builds more powerful. Some of the more notable ones include faster attack speeds and shorter recovery times for the game’s biggest weapon, and faster caste times for a slew of spells. Some spells are also balanced now, which means it’s easier to actually pull them off before they’re broken.
Here are some other high-level additions, including a beloved repeat soul There have been many characters from in-game events named after him.
- Added option to turn camera auto-rotate on/off
- Added some event stages for NPC “patches”
- Slightly increased FP and Stamina growth at lower levels
The update also addresses two big issues for online players. The first has to do with bleeding and crazy animations. Bleeding is a condition that players often exploit to bleed their opponents, but with the right build, this status effect can destroy certain types of enemies and players in seconds. On the other hand, if you accumulate enough madness, it may reduce your health. But according to the wording of the patch notes, it appears that both diseases were present in their previous forms, adding additional stuns as they build, and basically overkill in some PVP encounters, where players are trapped in endless interlaced animation. Both have been recalibrated:
- Shortened the length of the crazy effect animation.
- Decreased the speed of insane accumulation recovery.
- Fixed a bug where the animations on blood loss and frostbite were larger than originally planned.

Another issue surrounding Karian’s revenge is the Ashes of War ability, which summons daggers to attack your opponent when you parry their attack. In PvP, however, the dagger becomes invisible when attacking, while also returning a lot of damage, making it difficult to counterattack. This patch fixes the bug and weakens the skill overall.
Patch 1.04 also fixes another important bug. When you kill all the bosses in Lunia of the Lake, an NPC raider named Festering Fingerprint Vyke should arrive. Some people don’t know this, but Vyke is the guy on the cover of the game. Technically, Vyke is one of the most narratively meaningful characters in the entire game, as the story he tells mirrors the player’s and helps build a storyline with one of the game’s larger factions. And, most importantly, he’s easy to miss. So, keeping Vyke from spawning not only keeps players from completing a certain questline, but for those invested in this sort of thing, it robs them of a sizable lore.
as important as any Eldon Ring The patch was an unresolved issue, and many players were relieved to see Moonshroud and River of Blood Katana come out of the latest update unscathed. Due to their continued overwhelming popularity, it may only be a matter of time before they take a hit, but now FromSoftware seems to be trying to improve the viability of other releases.
Of course, nothing is quite what it seems Eldon Ring, and the developers like to make some changes closer to the vest. “The balance of other enemies and weapons has changed,” reads a very ominous and opaque patch note. No doubt we’ll find out what they are in the coming days as players have more time to test patch 1.04 in the wild.
