Amazfit has officially launched its new fitness tracker, the Amazfit Band 7. It finally confirms major improvements previously reported, including a large AMOLED display with always-on mode and better battery life, all for the same price.
- Amazfit Band 7 has major improvements to the screen and battery
- Fitness tracker now offers up to 18 days of battery life and 120 sport modes
- It’s on sale for 50 euros.
Amazfit Band 7: the main novelty
Let’s look at the design first. The Amazfit Band 7 is equipped with a 1.47-inch AMOLED display that supports Always-on mode, and its area is more than twice that of the Band 5. Surprisingly, it has the same size and same type of screen as the recently launched Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro. Amazfit Band 7 offers 5 ATM water resistance.
As for health and monitoring features, the new Band 7 now offers 120 sport modes and smart detection of up to four activities. It also tracks heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep and stress levels 24 hours a day. Like the Amazfit Bip 3 and Bip 3 Pro, Amazfit’s latest wearable can also notify you when it detects abnormal heart rate and SpO2 levels, then prompt you to perform breathing exercises.
No GPS, no problem
Compared to its predecessor, the Amazfit Band 7 has increased autonomy. Its 232 mAh battery is said to last up to 18 days with moderate usage. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t come with an integrated GPS module. However, with Bluetooth 5.2, you can still include GPS data from your smartphone in your training sessions. If you must use the built-in GPS, you should choose the Bip 3 Pro.

Finally, the Zepp app is available on Android and iOS. It allows you to customize the bracelet and configure smartphone notifications. If you want to take advantage of voice commands, Amazon Alexa is there too.
As for the price, the Amazfit Band 7 is priced at 50 euros. It is available in black and beige and supports 16mm interchangeable straps. It is unclear whether Amazfit will launch a Pro model with a dedicated GPS function.
