It’s pretty easy to use a smartwatch in the summer, but it’s really annoying to use the touchscreen in the harsh winter. Samsung pioneered the integration of a special “glove” mode with its Galaxy Watch 4. In this mode, the Samsung smartwatch increases the touch sensitivity of the screen in order to recognize the pressure of wearing gloves. Here’s how to use your Galaxy Watch 4 with gloves on.
Interestingly, I found this tip for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 after the hottest day of the year. To prepare for winter, or if you’re wearing gloves for physical activity like finding or biking, this tutorial will be very useful if you have a Galaxy Watch 4.

While I haven’t seen it in practice, I believe the Galaxy Watch 4 should have slightly shorter battery life in this mode. Because technically, Samsung has to increase the conductivity of the capacitive layer of the screen for this. So unless you prefer the touchscreen of your Samsung smartwatch, it might be a good idea to leave this mode on all the time.
