How to make your iPhone read text aloud?
Once you configure and customize the Voice Content feature, it’s ready to use. There are two easy ways: speak choice and Say what’s on the screen:
- speak choice: You can have iPhone read specific text to you. Simply highlight the text you want to read aloud by long-pressing and dragging the selection handle. With the text highlighted, press the option “clarify” appears in the context menu.
- Say what’s on the screen: You can use this option if you want your iPhone to read a full page or screen of text. To turn it on, swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers, and your iPhone will begin reading the content aloud.

Personally, I use both. When it’s easy for you to choose, I choose this method to avoid the system from reading all elements of the web page.
On the other hand, if I’m not in a hurry, I’ll let my iPhone 14 Pro Max read the entire page, then use the jump button to position the cursor at a specific point in the article or PDF.
