Before you start creating Live Stickers, you need to make sure that the photo you want to use to create the sticker was taken directly from your iPhone or iPad. Your device must also be running iOS 17 or iPadOS 17.

How to create animated stickers on iPhone?
There are two ways to turn photos into Live Stickers: You can do it in iMessage’s new menu or in the Photos app.
Here’s how to create live stickers directly in the iMessage app:
- Open the iMessage app and press new news at the top of the page, or just select an ongoing conversation
- according toplus (+) icon next to the input field
- choose applique in the menu
- chooseLive Stickers Tab
- according to Plus (+) button Open gallery
- Just click on the tab and you can highlight and view Live Photos live
- Select a Live Photo, and press add stickers

- Press Shoot the subject and wait for the light to end
- press add stickers in the options that appear

Live stickers created by this method will be displayed in the same tab live stickers. From here, you can long-press on any sticker to rearrange or delete created entries.
The steps are the same on iPad, you also need Live Photos for this to work.
How to add live stickers to the application?
Apple has also improved the way you add stickers and emoji in apps by integrating the stickers tab into the keyboard. You will be able to insert these stickers into your messaging app, mail and other apps. Just press (+) to find the icon from the keyboard applique.
