Like every weekend, we meet on kwgeek as I pick 5 free or paid mobile apps and games that have caught my eye on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Every week I try to bring you the best apps that aren’t personal data traps or microtransaction dens. For my own discoveries, I’ve also added applications that the kwgeek community unearthed and shared on our forums, which I invite you to check out.
From mobile games to productivity apps, here are 5 free and paid Android/iOS apps from kwgeek this week. We post this pick every week, and you can also check out my 5 apps from last week.
GETTR (iOS and Android)
Want to break away from traditional social networks and try a healthy new platform? GETTR intends to achieve a paradigm shift by providing all people with an inspiring and positive social network that supports the freedom of independent thought and is free from fear of political censorship.
In this application you will be able to share your messages, news clips, photos, recorded videos and many other content with your family and friends wherever they are, provided of course they have a working internet connection . Like other social networks, you will have a list of communities that you can join to gather knowledge and build friendships with them.

DanceFitme: Fun Weight Loss (Android)
The app offers a range of exercises in the form of different dance styles. You will be able to choose from different aspects such as cardio, cardio, salsa and more. K-Pop fans and hip-hop fans will be delighted. Before you start, you’ll need to enter basic information, including your gender, current height, and target weight. At least dancing has the benefit of being less boring than a regular fitness workout.
The only downside to this app is that you have to pay $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year to access personalized programs and exclusive dance workouts, not to mention your fitness level records. There are over 100 workouts to start.

Outer Life (Android)
Otternal Life is a habit tracker app that helps you form new habits, reminding you of any habits you stick to every day. The app includes a progress tracker, a journal feature that lets you write down how you feel about everything that’s going on, and a mood tracker. You can save up to 5 moods per day, and the more you save, the more stats you unlock.
The app works offline. You’ll be able to create unlimited and highly customizable habits and use a calendar to track your progress. You need to fill in your name for better personalized service. The app shows short trivia every day to cheer you up and give you an extra boost when you need it. If you touch an otter, you’ll see another random, heartwarming quote to inspire you.

Stremio (iOS and Android)
Stremio is a video streaming app that lets you watch and organize videos from various services. These include movies, series, live TV and even video channels.
However, you need to sign up for an account (or use your Facebook account) first. Stremio can display video in its native format, which means there may be thick black bars on the sides. There is no denying that the content of the app is acceptable as it allows access to many old and new movies from various sources.
I haven’t had any issues with subtitle sync, although other users have complained about it. Unfortunately, there are so many add-ons to install every now and then that the experience can quickly become tedious.

Sigma Theory (iOS and Android)
Sigma Theory is a turn-based strategy game that will push your brain to its limits. The game is set in a dystopian future where the threat of nuclear war is everywhere. You are part of a team tasked with activating Theory Sigma, a legendary system with the power to end death and destroy financial systems around the world.
If you succeed, your region will survive while others will fall. Failure is not an option. With over a hundred NPCs, you can be sure that your interactions with them will change the way the story unfolds. You will need to take careful and planned steps to build your team and move away from strategic goals to get closer to your goals.
- Price: 6.99 EUR (iOS and Android) / Ads: No / In-App Purchases: Yes / Account: Not Required
