After debuting at CES, Anker’s latest line of chargers is finally here. Enter the new Nano II 100W, a USB-C power adapter with the brand’s GaN II charging technology at its core. Featuring a three-port design, it’s ultra-compact and 30% smaller than Apple’s comparable wall adapters, available now.
Anker’s new Nano II 100W GaN charger has arrived
Debuting at Anker’s CES 2022 showcase back in January, there’s a new flagship charger in town. Joining the brand’s other GaN chargers in every power capacity and form factor, the latest step is to offer one of the more powerful offerings. The new Nano II 100W features a three-port design with a foldable AC plug that can handle everything from the iPhone to the M1 Pro MacBook Pro.
The main 100W USB-C port headlines its range of charging options. Using GaN II technology, it can charge more powerful devices like the Apple MacBook. Below is an auxiliary USB-C port, which can also handle 100W maximum output. Rounding out the package is a 22.5W USB-A slot.
In addition to being able to deliver so much power from a single device plugged in, the Anker Nano II 100W can handle the refueling of up to three products at a time. This will slow things down across the board, but it provides quite a bit of functionality for your everyday carry, or a way to shrink your desktop setup.
Aside from all the actual charging speeds, Anker’s biggest advantage in its new Nano II 100W is size. Packing three ports and 100W of power into any wall adapter would be an eye-catching spec sheet in itself, which is why the compact form factor of Anker’s latest offering is even more impressive. Clocking in at a fraction of the size of Apple’s official 96W adapter, Anker’s manages to provide two extra ports and even some extra juice while taking up 30 percent less space in everyday carry.
All of this charging tech makes the new Anker Nano II 100W one of the pricier tags in its charging lineup.Punch time $76, you pay a premium, even with Anker’s reputation. You can order it now from Anker’s official Amazon storefront.
9to5Toys’ take
When the new standard was introduced last summer, we were already using Anker’s previously released GaN chargers. As a spoiler for our coverage, we’re pretty impressed with the pricing and value offered by those more iPhone and iPad adapters. Now with the Nano II 100W, Anker is taking the Mac flagship to the next level across the board, with more features in the mix for extra juice.
