In addition to the regular routines (spicy quests, side quests, dungeons, challenges, raids), this update will introduce a new gameplay element called Islander Bliss. Each player will become the owner of their own paradise island and will be able to indulge in healthy occupations such as harvesting materials, building infrastructure, or breeding creatures, all without prior crafting or harvesting experience. Through these various activities, islanders will be able to earn currency to exchange for special items.
The following is a summary of the program delivered by Square Enix:
Update 6.20
- new main quest : A new epic chapter will be added to the frame of the main scene.
- new side quests : “Tataru Tarufacture” definitely doesn’t stop talking about it.
- new dungeon : “le Château de Troïa” opens its doors to you at your own risk.
- new challenge : A brand new normal and extreme difficulty challenge that will test adventurers. More information will be announced later.
- New Hard Difficulty Raids : Regular and sadistic versions of Pandæmonium Inferno will welcome the most daring players. The Sadistic Raid difficulty level will be unlocked one week after the release of Update 6.2.
- New Unreal Challenge : A new version of the confrontation with Sephirot will take place in Containment Unit S1P7 (Unreal).
- PvP update : “Series Threshold” Season 2 and “Crystal Clash” Season 3 will begin in Update 6.2. “Rival Wings” will also make a comeback with tweaked PvP action.
- Instances of redoing epics : 1) The enhancement system will be extended to dungeons from “Snowmantle” to “The Vault”. 2) The old challenge “The Last Step of Faith” will be turned into a mission battle. 3) Briar’s Edge Challenge will also be overhauled.
- other supplements : Update 6.2 will include tweaks to PvE and PvP actions, new features related to character cards, and an increase in the capacity of Mirage Barbers from 400 to 800.
Update 6.25
- new side quests : The Gentleman Detective will continue his incredible adventure in the series quest of the same name, Hildibrand, The Return.
- New Ultimate Weapon Saga : Players can now unlock and upgrade “The Arms of Mandeville” by following Hildibrand’s adventures in the 6.x update.
- New Horde Quest – Omicrons : Reapers from all walks of life will be able to support these powerful entities at the edge of the universe.
- New Instanced Content – Branch Dungeon : Instances of this type, previously presented under the name “modular dungeons”, will be designed as single players or teams of up to 4 players, with difficulty levels adapted to the number of participants. Each dungeon will contain branches, the outcome of which will depend on the adventurer’s choice. “Sildian Canalizations” will open this new experience.
- New Instanced Content – Alternative Dungeon : A high difficulty instance of this type of 4-player team would be very similar to a branching dungeon. However, alternate dungeons will only include two different difficulty levels, with very specific rules and characteristics.
Before these updates roll out, data center travel will be available in Update 6.18 on Tuesday, July 5th. Players will be able to visit worlds in other data centers to regroup and participate in instanced content. Please note that travel between servers in Japan, US, Europe and Oceania is not yet scheduled.
let us remember FF14 is a victim of its strong attendance growth, and Square Enix is doing its best to accommodate everyone, especially since the extension launched terminator. Update 6.18 will also add a new data center (Meteor) on the Japanese servers, but we first noticed the expansion of data centers in Europe starting with the creation of four new worlds. All details can be found here.
