The Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro is Samsung’s next-generation rugged smartphone. A new leak has revealed the design and technical sheet of the smartphone. Find out what the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro looks like and everything we already know about the smartphone in this article.
- The Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro should have a more modern design and a stronger tech sheet
- It should be the first 5G-compatible smartphone in the series
In addition to the Galaxy S, Galaxy A, or Galaxy Z, there is a range of lesser-known Samsung Galaxy Xcovers. The range includes very powerful smartphones for extreme conditions. To succeed the Xcover 5, which was launched in France last year, Samsung should launch its sixth generation this year. After months of rumors, a big leak has just taken the wraps off the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro’s design and technical data sheet.
New design more in line with the times
Indian site GizNext Renders of the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro have been released. We can see that Samsung should modernize the design of its smartphones by adopting an edgeless screen and a waterdrop-shaped notch. On the back, we notice the presence of a new dual-camera module with a flash on the right.

As you can see in the photo above, at first glance, the back is plastic and removable. We’ll find a UBS-C port along with the speakers on the lower edge, and a headphone jack and a red button on the upper edge. On the left edge, there will be an extra large physical button.
Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro: a more serious tech sheet than its predecessor
While the Galaxy Xcover 5 is an entry-level smartphone, the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro should boost the premium segment considerably. It should have a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2408×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz.
The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC backed by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. This SoC comes with many high-end mid-range smartphones and will make the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro 5G compatible with decent performance.
Regarding cameras, the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro should have a dual photo module with a 50 MP primary sensor. On the front, there will be a 13 MP selfie camera.
Given its mission as a smartphone for extreme conditions, the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro should be water and dust resistant. The renderings show a slot on the back, which suggests we can remove the cover on the back, so the battery can be removed.
