In addition to breaking the Elden Ring, which was initially estimated at 4 million copies, the publisher highlighted the good performance of Rising Tale in its results, which recently claimed to have sold 2 million copies worldwide. Bandai Namco admits that while gaming services have had a good start and solid sales, they haven’t maintained a level of performance comparable to last year’s. The publisher added that initial costs, especially development costs, have increased due to the launch of more new major titles compared to the same period last year. A total of 56 million publisher-branded games have been sold this year, including 52 million in the West, and according to initial estimates, next year should be even lower — not all years we can expect FromSoftware games to be in in its directory.
Over the past year, Bandai Namco has bet on several high-potential projects, highlighting already announced games such as survival game Dragon Ball: Destroyer, RPG One Piece Odyssey, First Person Shooter Play for free Gundam Evolution and the fun Unknown9: Awakening to move the industry forward.
