Some interesting details about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 series emerged today. If this is to be believed to be true, an purported Baidu post now points to some surprising changes to the iPhone 14’s battery. One Pro model in particular could benefit from a noticeable battery upgrade — while another could be lost.
- iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro may benefit from bigger batteries
- On the other hand, the iPhone 14 Pro Max may have a reduced battery
Which iPhone 14 models will get battery improvements?
VNchocoTacoA regular on the pipeline, just shared a screenshot of what appears to be a Baidu post detailing all the battery sizes for Apple’s upcoming 2022 iPhone 14 lineup. The post mentions batteries across the entire range, including the new iPhone 14 Max model with a capacity of 4325 mAh. That’s roughly equivalent to the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s 4323 mAh battery, compared to the current iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 4352 mAh battery.
Surprisingly, the capacity of the iPhone 14 Pro could change significantly, with a capacity of 3200 mAh compared to the 3095 mAh of the iPhone 13 Pro. That doesn’t sound like much on paper, but it could mean a few more hours of screen time, combined with a more power-efficient chipset. Likewise, the iPhone 14 has a capacity of 3279 mAh compared to its predecessor’s 3227 mAh.

Other iPhone 14 specs and release date
Other rumored features of the iPhone 14 include the dual capabilities of the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro, and of course the new A16 Bionic SoC. Both non-Pro models are expected to use the same old notch design, while all iPhone 14 variants will eventually feature a new selfie sensor.
Remember, all these details are unconfirmed. As usual, we recommend you take the iPhone 14 with a pinch of salt ahead of its official launch in September.
