We already knew a few days ago that Nothing would be launching a Phone (1) with a mid-range tech sheet. Thanks to a leak from Amazon, we now know the alleged price of the smartphone, which suggests that the Nothing Phone (1) should be quite expensive. This would be disappointing considering the price of Nothing Ears (1) is quite affordable.
- Amazon has revealed the price of the Nothing Phone (1), which won’t be announced until July 21.
- The new smartphone with mid-range features is priced at 469.99 euros.
- It can be bundled with a special version of earless(1)
Three weeks before its official launch, Nothing Phone (1) appeared in Amazon’s German catalog. As spotted by a user on Reddit, the smartphone comes in a version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, priced at €469.99. For the 12 + 256 GB version, you have to pay 549.99 euros.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei’s startup thus placed its first smartphone at the high end of the market. Looking at the known data sheet for Nothing Phone (1), we can already estimate that Nothing is planning to bring a product with an excellent price/performance ratio to the market. There are indeed smartphones under €400 that offer a similar level of performance.

Unusual design, black version and “new” headphones
This relatively high price can be explained by several reasons. On the one hand, its first smartphone, the Phone (1), had no features. Therefore, the company cannot rely on previous models of fixtures or boards during development and production. Meanwhile, we’ve been able to admire the extraordinary design on the back of the Nothing Phone in the video.

On the back of the smartphone, Nothing has installed LED strips that can light up and flash in different ways. So, for example, you will see the charge level while charging, or you can use the LED back as a video light. Apart from the transparent variant, the latest leak suggests that the black version will also be available.

We also saw a special variant of the brand’s in-ear headphones, the Nothing Ear (1), on Amazon. The earphones are expected to come in a new version with a rectangular charging case. The corresponding Amazon page has certainly gone offline, but our colleagues from the Caschy blog have immortalized the image of the stick variant.
Do you think Nothing Phone (1) is too expensive? What do you think of the fancy variant of the Nothing Ear case (1)?
